Slang Music Group has been distinguished among many to serve as providers of music for Harpo Sounds Music Library. Each year Slang dedicates several weeks exclusively to the process of creating great music for the Oprah Show and other Harpo projects. Oprah, herself, selected Slang to act as principle composers for her holiday extravaganza “Oprah’s Christmas at The White House”. Traditional themes for Christmas were fused with military drums, fanfare from brass, classical guitars and a chorus to help inspire the Pageantry of this historic event. Seventeen versions of the original score were created to drive various show segments. “Oprah’s Christmas at The White House”. Special performed for ABC on a Sunday evening, drawing 11.8 million viewers and a 2.8 rating, one of the best in the time slot’s history.
